Reply:Dry clean storage, humid dirty storage, what sort of storage? Got pics?Bend hose to check if it's nice and flexible. New hose is about 25-30 bucks for 25-feet, so take that into consideration. Victor seals and diaphragms are very durable. How much are you considering paying for the set?They are about $290 incl tax and shipping per the internet right now.
Reply:He is asking $100. He says they are dusty but otherwise in good shape, it didnt get much use. Still in the original box, complete set. He said he bought it for a project 20 years ago and never did the project. He just retired and moved here, his area code on his cell is from Oregon, so I doubt if the storage was dry. Reply:Thanks for your help, the hoses were not cracked at all and the stuff looked pretty good. He let me have the set for $75. Reply:Good score. Worst case if for some weird reason you had to do both regs (about 55-60 each) you'd still be well under retail.
Reply:Tried it all out today, everything works great. As a side note I got these old Victor regulators a while back off Craigslist for $60. I tried them out today as well. The Acetylene working pressure gradually creeps up and up so I called the guy I got them from and he said bring it back and he would give me another one. He's kind of retiring from a welding career, real nice guy, has a big shop full of stuff.
