Hello, I'm new to this forum and after seeing some of the projects people have done, thought I'd post some pics of projects I've done. The pics aren't the best but hey I never planned on putting them on the net. Let me know what you think of the projects. I'm open to good and bad comments, that's how I learn to do things better in the future. The first 4 pics are what happens when I get bored with a Chevy engine laying around lol Attached Images
Reply:The next few pics are from the John Deere. I had to replace the plate for the snow blower and needed some weight over the back tire so this is what I came up with to fix the problems. The white plate in the last pic is where the plate goes on the snow blower. Attached ImagesLast edited by Ford.crazy; 10-26-2011 at 05:40 PM.Reason: to add info
Reply:These 4 pics are the bracket to add some weight over the back wheels, now the bracket is painted black. I have to get some new pics of it. Attached Images
Reply:After checking out and wanting a lift table, but finding nothing in my price range that I liked I built this.... Made from 2x2x1/4 box tube and a air jack from northern tools. It has a 24 inch center table with 2 12 inch extensions that I can bolt to the sides to make it 48 inches wide and it is 8 foot long. I went cheap on the plywood top (man aluminum diamond plate got expensive ). Attached Images
Reply:That must suck plowing snow backwards......zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.
Reply:And last, for now. I wanted a strong big picnic table. It's 12 feet long and 5 1/2 feet wide. Now everyone has a place to sit. Attached Images
Reply:and the almost finished table. Next summer I'm going to have the Harley logo painted on the top then clear coated or maybe a bar top epoxy put on it. haven't decided yet. Attached Images
Reply:that would make a hell of a race trophy. There are no problems. There are only solutions. It's your duty to determine the right one.Hobart Handler 210Airco 225 Amp MSM Stinger
Reply:Hello Zap, Yeah I bet it would be crazy to try and plow with it, but it does drag and level stone nice. I have to try and plow this winter with and see how it works lol.Hello Thor, Never thought about a trophy but, it would make a great derby trophy
Reply:On your first pictures of the crank, pistons, wrenches, and flywheel, it looks like if you had made sure all of the piston tops were fixed on a even plane, you could put some felt on them and added a glass top. Would make a killer shop table.

Reply:Originally Posted by DSWThat's an idea I didn't think of. I kept thinking light fixture myself. Probably make an awsome chandelier for a man cave. Not sure if you'd want to do LED's under the pistons, ore do bulbs on the top of the domes. I do agree you'd need them all to be at the same angle however.

Reply:that's some nice projects. the parts and wrench creation would make an awesome table. not sure i would want to sit even remotely close to it as a chandelier though. hope those are cheap hf wrenches you welded in there.225NT bobcatAEAD200LEScott 125mm175, mm252 w 30A, PT225mm211, TA 181iHyper Therm 380, cut master 529100X & XX, Digital Elite6 Victor setssmith little torch, meco midget kalamazoo band sawsteel max saw evoulution circular saw
Reply:I was just posting about plans for a lift table, I like your, great job!! Its a touch different than the ones Ive seen in the catalogs, I wouldnt need one as big, great work!!
Reply:Hi guys, Thanks for all the comments. I think I'm going to make a table out of the engine wrench contraption. Never thought about it but I did weld it together upside down so all the pistons are even and they still pivot on the wrist pins so it would work as a table. With a piece of glass and some LED's in the bottom of the piston it would look great. Thanks for the idea!! jbmprods your right all the wrenches are cheap ones that strip bolts instead of loosen them. Zap I have to agree with ya after 15 mins of plowing or snow blowing it does suck. The next thing I'm going to work on is a little cab for the tractor and maybe a little heater for it.
Reply:ZAP you jinxed me lol.. Pulled out the snow blower the other day after the October snow made it 20 feet and broke the drive chain for the auger. Being Sunday nothing was opened so I plowed backwards and it really SUCKS!!! but it worked to open the driveway. Well just got home with the new chain for the auger so off to the garage I go. Hopefully no more snow for a while. |
