Those are the 2 machines I currently have. I have up until now only offered steel welding in my business. I think I have enough interest for aluminum welding so I would like to know what machine would suit for this application.I know they are 2 complete different machines, and I use the miller all the time for my welding jobs, the lincoln has just been sitting since I purchased the miller, in fact, it still has the flux core spool in it that's about 2 years old now.I guess I'm wondering if it would be worth spending the money and get some use out of the lincoln, and then I wouldn't have to keep switching from aluminum to steel with the miller.Any help and ideas would REALLY help me out. Reply:I would get a 30A spool gun for the 252 and keep the Red machine for light duty on steel.
Reply:The 252 will remember different settings for different guns; if you use a spoolgun, switching will (should) be as easy as changing the leads and the control wire. You shouldn't have to disconnect the gas hose and steel wire spool.Hobart cutting/welding torch.MM252, and nothing else. My first welder. Buy once, cry once....but I really would like a nice 50/60A circuit to run it at full strength.A bunch of ideas, and not enough time and money to bring them to life.
