Reply:www.weldingsupply.com has pretty good prices from what I've found online.  They got me a lead in what seemed like 2 days and weren't too bad on shipping without tax...
Reply:I just bought a size 9 torch setup from HTP, 25 foot cord (ultraflex) for under $100. Very nice setup. They are also on e-bay and all parts are made in the USA.

Reply:watch out n ebay for knock offs.they work, but not as nice as the brand names.G
Reply:Several years ago I had the opportunity to tour some of the maquilladora plants in Mexico, and I was aghast that the same line was producing 4 different brands of small refrigerators...  since then I would joke that in the future everything would be made in one plant, with different brand labels being attached to the front...   thankfully that prediction has not come to pass...gordfraser raises a good point...  there are differences, and if you're curious, my boss wrote a pretty good article here:http://joewelder.com/2008/07/21/tig-...he-difference/goes over some of the differences between quality brands selection of materials and manufacturing techniques vs. some of the "knock off"s I'm not saying that all "Weldcraft style" brands are bad, but that there may be differences you are unaware of...-----------------------Carmen Electrodewww.CarmenElectrode.comand the boss blogs at  www.JoeWelder.comall powered by  www.Arc-Zone.com
Reply:I highly recommend CK Worldwide torches.  CK TIG torches had the most impressive AC welding current ratings and duty cycle compared to other brands I have found.  (Although that might not matter much for a DC only machine like a maxstar.)  The "superflex" hose option (weldcraft has similar) is also really nice, and worth paying some extra money for.As for where to buy CK torches, apparently not online, because my local welding supply had a better price by a pretty good amount compared to any source I could find online.  CK built the exact torch I wanted with a 1 day lead time.
