Vertical Up Beads Question

Is it more difficult to run a bead vertical up than a joint?Still trying to get it all figured out but all of my current attemps just look like melted candle wax ripples...

Reply:If your asking whether or not it is easier to run a vert up bead on flat plate vs a v groove butt weld, I'd go for the v-groove being easier.

" you could be running your amps too high, but also doing a wieve pattern you can pause briefely (split second) at the corners of your pattern (edge of the bead) this will help to even the molton pool to a nice bead, instead of isicles.just my $.02Travis
