I just purchased a Hypertherm Powermax 30 and began using it on some 1/4 inch plate. I have an air tool filter/ water separator on my compressor but i'm sure i need a better filter. After using the cutter I noticed a small bit of water under the unit near the built in filter on the hypertherm. So Im guessing I need a better filter to keep out the moisture. Has anyone used those small inline filters from Miller and if so how long do they last? are they better and last longer that those inline desiccant spray gun filters? The unit is moved around alot so i'd like something smaller and more portable that one of those motorcraft big round filters.
Reply:I just bought this and put it on the back of my cutmaster 42 its small enough to fit snuggly in the back of my plasma and enables me to still use the carry case with out any fitment issues on the back with the airline quick connect and filter assembly.http://www.tractorsupply.com/tools/a...n-type-3432654Last edited by cklanish; 02-08-2011 at 05:17 PM.Thermal Arc Fabricator 210Thermal Dynamics cutmaster 42
Reply:Hey rob,I use the large filter unit from HF & it works well. I have a large extractor on the compressor & this one mounted to the plasma cart.
