Reply:nice job i'm totally diggin the lights, i just hope that some jerk does'nt come around and smash it
Reply:The second job is a new welding trailer for doing sign installs and mobile welding jobs, I already had the 6 x 4 box trailer, All I did was to knock up the top, paint and stick a few decals on for a bit of free advertising. It fits a huge amount of gear, it's weather proof and lockable at the end of the day I back it into the yard and lock the gate. No more loading and unloading each day.SimonLabel EverythingMetal Fabrication - Welding Repairs - Wrought Iron - Sign Writing - Custom Decals.

Reply:Trailer looks nice. I wondered if you used gas struts when I saw the first pict. Then I wondered if you had side access after I saw the interior shelves with the back open.My only concern would be on locations where you don't have mega room on both sides. I've run into issues with not having enough room in drives to get the doors on the utility body open enough to get tools in and out. Those mega wings will require even more space. Have you thought about wind? I've had the back doors on my service body smashed because on a gusty day the wind grabbed them and slammed them against the gas strut, breaking the strut and then mashing the door against the rear lights. Now on windy days I disconnect the gas struts and tie the doors open tight with straps while I unload, then resecure everything tight so there's less chance I'll have to replace the doors again..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Reply:Three days of work made one very nice looking mailbox. I bet that mailbox cost the customer.Co-Own CNC shop:Miller :1251 plasma cutter, MaxStar 700 TIG/Stick, & XMT 456 Multiprocess Welder.& 2 Hypertherm HPR260's Plasma CutterSorry I had a bad stroke but now I am back.
Reply:That semi looks really nice! How much time do you have into it? Looks like it wouldn't hold much mail. Have you thought about making a trailer to go with it and have the back of the trailer open up for mail? I think you would be able to fit more mail and it would match the cab. Great work on the semi and trailer.
Reply:Ronald I have never had the issue of confined space in the places I tend to work. I keep the sides down when I work only lifting them when needed and when running the generator.SimonLabel EverythingMetal Fabrication - Welding Repairs - Wrought Iron - Sign Writing - Custom Decals.
Reply:Specter thank you I really enjoy building these sorts of things, 400 Aussie dollars I made it for a really good customer and she was back a week later for me to turn a large wine barrel into a mail box as well.SimonLabel EverythingMetal Fabrication - Welding Repairs - Wrought Iron - Sign Writing - Custom Decals.
Reply:Ponch all up around three days. I was a lot larger than the box it replaced and any larger items are held the the local post office or the mail man will deliver it to the door. When I made the truck I made it with the though of putting a trailer on it if required.SimonLabel EverythingMetal Fabrication - Welding Repairs - Wrought Iron - Sign Writing - Custom Decals.
