I started with a big, heavy stainless flange..The holes got a slight chamfer cut by mistake so I had to weld it up so I had a good fit to weld the tubes in that followed....... We are talking big tubes here so this got real heavy fast.....Welded on both sides this part is used to run huge wire cables under water I had a hard time loading this in my Pick upLast edited by B_C; 02-24-2011 at 01:38 AM. Reply:Welds look fine. Did you consider a purge to avoid the heavy heat tint on the bore of the pipe ? Will this area be exposed to water ? There is some possible chrome loss in these areas, however may not be important.
Reply:I didn't worry about that since it was fairly thick material and there wasn't a pressure issue, just leak tight Miller Dynasty 350Twenty Six HammersThree Crow BarsBig Rock
Reply:ummmm. I was talking about the internal bore location. There is a possibility this could be a corrosion site, especially in an aqueous environment. Cheers
