I bought a used Clarke 130 MK2 Gas only 110v mig. I got the whole deal for a steal i think on my part for 80 bucks. I tried to burn some metal, with the stupid fluxcore the guy put in the box, but of course you cannot change the polarity. So that was more or less a light show but at least showed me it arcs. Now i'm trying to source out parts for the gun.http://www.usaweld.com/Clarke-MIG-We...e-mm-parts.htmthis is what i found so far. is this my only option to order parts for the gun? it says it's a "Tweco Mini MIG Gun Parts" So is it possible to find something at my local welder shop?Secondly it's a 110 box and probably not going to do the best welds. so far i've been reading that co2 burns hotter but isn't so nice as the argon/co2 mix. Read mixed reviews on this as well. If i decide to do just co2 what regulator do i use? Thanks guys for everything, i'll be standing by to get schooled!

Reply:Sweet, got back from the Welding Supply Store and the guy said if i use co2 i need a co2 regulator. But as Broccoli1 said i could use the regulator HF sells and use the adapter. Now is it better to just buy a used bottle. Airgas wants 150, and some kind of crazy 99 year lease or something. |
