This started as one of those worthless harbor freight pipe benders. Well since it never worked good I figured why not make something that does. So I robbed the hydraulic cylinder, and built a frame ect. The frame is 1/4 wall 2x2 the base is 3/4 flatbar the angle is 1/2 2x2 and the die is 1 inch plate beveled 45 degrees on both sides. I sandwhiched the top tube with another 1/4 flatbar to spread the load evenly and then made a spine on top from 1/4 flatbar stood on end. Its really ridgid. Bends 1/4 easy. And aluminum like its nothing. Gonna come in very handy.

Reply:No reason just seemed easyer that way. And I have a couple other different style of bottom dies id like to use and makes switching them fast and easy.
