Ok, first off, I have the Chicago Electric 165 amp TIG welder. I've added a foot pedal to it, now I'm going to get rid of that HUGE torch head & mount a -17 torch to it. I'm going to change the cable & gas line to a gas through power cable 25' long.Question 1:The covers I see listed for the 25' torch are only 22 to 22.5' long. Is there a special reason for the covers being 3' short? When these are installed which end is left uncovered - machine end or torch end?Question 2:Which is better for the hobbiest, Leather or Nylon? Currently the 10' torch I have has a plastic tube that isn't very flexible. In fact, I've already burned a hole in it about half way up. Not sure how I did that, but it's there.Snaps, Velcro or Zipper are listed as how they close. But what size do I need for the cable. There won't be a gas line in it, just the power cable.MarkI haven't always been a nurse........Craftsman 12"x36" LatheEnco G-30B MillHobart Handler 175Lincoln WeldandPower 225 AC/DC G-7 CV/CCAdd a Foot Pedal to a Harbor Freight Chicago Electric 165A DC TIG PapaLion's Gate Build

Reply:Usually only cover the multi line setup. No real need otherwise. eBay has a few leather ones. Two different diameters IIRC. I have the one with snaps.TA Arcmaster 300CM3XMT 304S22P12 suitcase feederX-Treme 12VSOptima pulserTA161SMaxstar 150STLHypertherm PM45OP setupStihl 020AVP, 039, 066 Magnum |
