I am planning a project where I will need a couple of drop away hinges like the ones used on the wings of a BBQ grill. I will need to attach them to 3/4" tubing. I did a Google but found mostly hinges for drop leaf tables which is not really what I need. I have a small rolling stairway in my garage to reach my shelving (12' ceiling) and I want to fix a foldaway shelf near the top for working out of containers without bringing them down.If I can't find any I guess I'll just watch for someone trashing a BBQ grill.Miller Challenger 172Miller Thunderbolt AC/DC 225/150Miller Maxstar 150 STLVictor 100CVictor JourneymanOxweld OAHarris O/ASmith O/A little torchNo, that's not my car.
Reply:That's what I was going to suggest. Our landfill has a metal recycling pile and any time I've been there, there's been a few old BBQs visible at the edge of the pile. That might be a source in your area.Or check your local Kijiji/CL/eBay - might find an old one for sale cheap."These instructions are at our present level ofknowledge.
