Hi,Finally, got my 220 installed and was able to play with my new stick welder.  It is not one of the big three, but the arc is very smooth.  I havent stick welded in years, but was able to do ok with it.  Well, in a few days I will show off my project.

Reply:hi ralph,3/32 6013 rod, amps set about 70.    I am welding 1 1/4 " x 1 1/4" x 1/8", welding frame for my hog traps and then will be using cattle panels for sides and top. What is the best way to weld up the panels and yes I will be outside and I will not stick my head in the plume LOL
