I would like to know if regular soder will stick to stainless with regular plumbing soder and flux or do I need a special flux thanks
Reply:I don't know exactly what "Soder" is but Solder used by plumbers with the correct flux will work if you know what you are doing. However you will need a TORCH not a soldering iron....zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.
Reply:What are the 2 base metals? You might have trouble getting a structurally sound joint with solder (melting point <800 deg F) on the SS side, but who knows.  When we have to do SS-SS, we use the brazing process with BAg-24 filler and AWS FB3-A fluxCu to SS is the same, unless we have to do a whole bunch, then we go to a BAg-37 (less silver)Experience is something you get right after you need it
Reply:I'd use silver solder. Buy at any hvac supply. Its high dollar tho.
