this past summer my son purchased $950 of craigslist steel for $75. I think he might be turning into a repurposer like his dad, grandpa and great grandpa. then this past fall he bought a 154 lo-boy. it came with a 60" mower. last week he said, "could we build a snow plow?". yep, we can do'er. he wanted to build the blade from scratch but i suggested to buy a used blade and we could build from there. he's has a line on one now. pictures were hard to find and we settled for some ok pics on a tractor for sale site. scaled the measurements as best we could to duplicate original. most of the parts are made from 3/8" plate, some 1/4" plate and 3/4" round. bolts are 1/2" grade 5 and jam nuts. more parts need to be made. still need to purchase a spring for "rocker arm assist". helps to lower plow. i guess the tractor has no down force when it lowers. this is our progress so for. thanks for looking, Dave.
