made a trailer to make my bobcat more portable, easy to move in and out of garage and onto trailer. Saw design on different thread here just added a few things .
Reply:Very nice. I'm planning something similar at some point..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear. Actually, a government bureau is the nearest thing to eternal life we'll ever see on this earth! Ronald Reagan
Reply:Nice work. I like the lead holders as well.Walt
Reply:nice..i bet you add on to it to carry more stuff..can the cableholders be removed if godforbid you gotta work inside the machine?what are the 2 loops you built on top of the blue thing? they look too light for lifting..?and itlooks like their's a factory lug in the middle justlike my ranger 8..
Reply:Looks handy. I hope those tires hold up, I have never had much luck with those.Tim Beeker.
Reply:thanks for comments , the 2 loops on top are bent allthread rod that was there when i bought machine and just havent cut them off yet. I think maybe they looped cable around them ????? yes the cable holders are bolted to frame and cross bar is bolted also so it can all be removed for repairs. the wheels are 300 lbs rated well that is not so accurate ,i replaced the 2 front caster wheels with heavy built ones. the second time i pulled it in the yard and went to back up the casters swiveled and the rims bent. The new ones are doing alot better just dont have picture of those yet.
Reply:What? Wrong bobcat? Thought it might be a trailer for a skid steer! Looks good ... but weldbead is right. If you added platform space beside it between the caster arms, or even removable trays like a toolbox, you'd have a good place to throw the vise grips, square, welding rod, gloves, etc., when you're working low to the ground. Also, for rolling around the [wet] lawn, think wheelbarrow wheels! Building the axles & steering spindles ... and fenders ... and ... for them is a much funner welding project than bolting on little casters!
Reply:Cool little rig, I have not seen an elctrode holder in use like that in a long time......do you prefer them?
Reply:MilitiaMetals, the electrode holder is the one that came with the machine, it works good and i probably dont know if it is good or bad or if there are better ones out there. I tig and mig weld for my regular job and am learning stick . If you know of a good or better electrode holder let me know i am open to suggestions. thanks |
