Finished my brake press/press brake today. I never know how to say it. Came out pretty nice. I picked up the steel at work, bits of scrap laying around. The frame itself is 1/4" wall 2x2 square tubing. Plus some bits of angle iron. The only things I bought were the air/over 12 bottle jack from harbor freight and then the 12inch log splitting wedge from northerntool. Oh, and the springs I got from OSH. I originally intended it to be a benchtop model I could move around at will. I turned out to be a little heavier than I expected. Might build a stand for it in the future. The thickest steel I had laying around was some small pieces of 3/8" plate. They were about 4" wide. This thing had no trouble bending them to 90 degrees. Now that I'm done with this project, I'm going to have to dream up some projects to use it on. I'm thinking I'll design a 3point hitch setup for my Craftsman garden tractor. I'm tired of using a sleeve hitch. Attached Images
