I just got an ln 25 and have a 350 amp innershield gun but it will only run .068-5/64-3/32 inch wire. That seems quite large. So my main question is what kind and size innershield wire do you guys run for your all around repairs? I mainly repair farm machinery and would like to be a little less dependent on stick.Lincoln Ranger 250 GXTLN-25Lincoln Magnum SG and ModuleAirco HF BoxMiller 304 XMT CC/CVMiller 60 Series FeederMiller Syncrowave 250O/A SetupIt's a dog eat dog world and i'm wearing milkbone underwear
Reply:.068 is the equivelent to 1/8 rod. structualy .068 is the min size allowable for welds on steel over 1/2" you could step down to .045 or 1/16 211 and be fine on repairs but unless your power source cant handle the 068 i would stay with that. also my prefered wire is 232 because it is structualy rated. bit 211 and 233 will also work for repairs and are easier to run
Reply:.068 NR-211 for any light repairs single pass 3/8" or under and 0.072" NR-232, NR-233 or Esab Core shield 8 for anything over 3/8" thick or multi pass. You can use the same contactors liners and drive rolls for both of them.Vantage 500's LN-25's, VI-400's, cobramatics, Miller migs, synch 350 LX, Powcon inverters, XMT's, 250 Ton Acurrpress 12' brake, 1/4" 10' Atlantic shear,Koikie plasma table W/ esab plasmas. marvel & hyd-mech saws, pirrana & metal muncher punches. |
