Reply:Looks like torq-a-verter plates.  I have one to put together myself sometime.My name's not Jim....
Reply:BC--I'd suspect that the vertical tube's weld would pull and distort thehorizontal plate-some; creating an out of square (as shown in attached, marked-up pic),with corresponding concave bowing of the horizontal plate underside.....unlessyou've taken measures to counteract this or this condition is acceptable. http://weldingweb.com/attachment.php...1&d=1302936946 Attached ImagesBlackbird

Reply:We just got a Precision TIG 375. Nice machine, but the old Hobart TR-300-HF was a sweet welding machine, right up until the hi-freq quit and we couldn't find parts.
