Always wanted to build a potbelly stove after watching a western. Cant cast iron so made this one out of flats. Loads of welding but worth the effort methinks. Now on with my 2nd one with airwash and secondary burn Attached Images
Reply:Very nice what was the plate thickness?
Reply:real nice job,  what are the ones behind it?
Reply:What's with the arms on the front. They look like they may move for some purpose, damper, air vents, what? Judging by the ones in the background, you have been at this awhile. This must be a business for you. Can you post pics of some of the others. I think you are going to end up with a lot of hits on this thread with them. Your going to have to come up with more details than you have posted so far.

Reply:Biggest problem now in Canada is the environmental rules.  In some places you cannot have any sort of wood burning and bylaws prevent conventional fireplaces.  Wood burning stoves unless they are pellet type are pretty difficult to install legally.
Reply:There are some EPA rules now on Wood Fired Emissions in the US now that would need to be checked into.Other than that IMPRESSIVE work!drujinin
Reply:Checked out your website. Great range of designs. There are a LOT of players in the wood stove market here. The do need to be certified. An EPA certified wood stove or wood heating appliance has been independently tested by an accredited laboratory to meet a particulate emissions limit of 7.5* grams per hour for noncatalytic wood stoves and 4.1* grams per hour for catalytic wood stoves. All wood heating appliances subject to the New Source Performance Standard for New Residential Wood Heaters under the Clean Air Act offered for sale in the United States are required to meet these emission limits.
