Ok a few questions guys. I have a dynasty 200 that came with the wp-17 torch. I just recently got a wp-20 and i am looking to make a cooler setup.Anyway the question is the torch I got has a fairly large 45v11 threaded end on the power and gas connection. What size dinse connector do I need to connect to the machine? The thread on the 17 torch is a lot smaller. Also I saw that there are water cooled dinse connectors. Do I need a water cooled one or can I just use an air cooled one and run the water lines seperately?
Reply:Ok so DUH moment the water needs to go through the power cable. But I'm seeing dinse connectors with both gas and water connector and I don't think I need those right?
Reply:You need the dinse connector with the "C" size arc nut connector (left hand thread). The hose from this will go to the cooler return (also left hand thread). The supply pressure from the cooler runs to the small water hose (again, left hand thread). The argon line can connect right to your machine's gas solenoid (right hand thread).
Reply:ok so the weld craft site says its a Q5W connector does that sound right?http://www.weldcraft.com/pdfs/Q5W%20...n-Assembly.pdfLast edited by Brent 5631; 05-26-2011 at 08:32 PM.
Reply:http://www.weldfabulous.com/Welding-...INSE/tc315389/Called a Dinse 50. Local welding store should carry them. Your hot water return from the torch comes down the power cable and out the dinse connector.I had to slightly file the tab down to make it lock into my Dynasty. Give it a little turn and you will see the witness marks where you need to file.
Reply:Ok. Thanks guys. I'll run by airgas tomorrow.
