I'm moving into a 30x40 shop. I need some ideas on how to lay it out. I have a bandsaw, 4x8 cnc plasma, 4x8 bench, and want to store my 20' pieces of steel inside as well. So I'll need to be creative. Pictures and ideas are welcome.

Reply:#1 thing I would do is make sure the floor between the 2 doors is kept clear. It is ALOT easier working on trailers and such if you can just drive through. Also put everything on wheels. If you cant fix it with a hammer, it must be an electrical problem."Boy, everyone starts with a full bag of luck and an empty bag of experience. It was 20 foot stick storage under the infeed rollers. Maybe something like that along the long wall opposite of the office?
Reply:Are the walls high enough for shelving/racks to store the steel on? Getting that stuf off the floor, out of the way and still visible makes life much easier.Be wary of The Numbers: Figures don't lie,. but liars can figure.Welders:2008 Lincoln 140 GMAW&FCAW2012 HF 165 'toy' GTAW&SMAW1970's Cobbled together O/A |
