I'm a long-time welder and HD mechanic, and I have always wanted a few of the large T tanks-- 330 cu ft-- and never had a chance to get any of them. I do have a number of K tanks, 244's that are my own private tanks. Now that I am 69 antique years old, I ran across 11 (yes, eleven) of the 330 ft oxygen tanks! Does anyone have any input as to their vaue if I sold them either on the open market or to a supplier? I have all the ownership papers.Miller Trailblazer 250GMiller AEAD200LEHobart water cooled 300AWire feed box Air cooled TIGWater cooled TIGAirco gas drive portable 300ATwo shop trucksHyster RC150 forkliftTwo 45' shop semi trailersAnd a gazillion tools
Reply:Are you talking about cylinders?
Reply:Yes, I am, oxygen cylinders. I lucked into a bunch of the 330 ft cylinders, but all I have dealt in and used in the past are the 244 ft K cylinders.Miller Trailblazer 250GMiller AEAD200LEHobart water cooled 300AWire feed box Air cooled TIGWater cooled TIGAirco gas drive portable 300ATwo shop trucksHyster RC150 forkliftTwo 45' shop semi trailersAnd a gazillion tools
Reply:Money to be made they sell here for $250-350
Reply:I appreciate your input. I would part with probably 9 of them, I know 6 are within hydro, not sure of the others, if the price is right. I walways wanted some of these when I was running my shop but as Murphy's Law goes, after I retired, NOW I have some!Miller Trailblazer 250GMiller AEAD200LEHobart water cooled 300AWire feed box Air cooled TIGWater cooled TIGAirco gas drive portable 300ATwo shop trucksHyster RC150 forkliftTwo 45' shop semi trailersAnd a gazillion tools
Reply:I can generally buy them for around $1/cuft at the LWS. I know I won't have any trouble getting those exchanged. If I buy from a garage sale or something similar, I'd only want to pay about half the LWS price. If it's the same price, why bother?Dynasty200DX w/coolmate1MM210MM VintageESAB miniarc161ltsLincoln AC225Victor O/A, Smith AW1ACutmaster 81IR 2475N7.5FPRage3Jancy USA1019" SBAEAD-200LE
Reply:In the mid to late 90's I bought a bunch of empty "K" cylinders for $20.00 each. However, they did not come with papers. But we have a couple of places that fill / exchange them without. The place I usually deal with will give you any size you need, larger or smaller, and just charge accordingly for the fill."Where's Stick man????????" - 7A749"SHHHHHH!!
