Reply:I think you're going to give some high schooler a sore arm and a splintered Louisville slugger Looks good!
Reply:I like it. A Rollcage for a mailbox. This will catch on. No pics of how it is attached to the post or your welds?
Reply:Not that I did this kind of thing in high school, but a buddy of mine hit a mailbox with an aluminum bat one time....the mailbox was filled with concrete. He never played mailbox baseball anymore.Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I777 using Tapatalk
Reply:Mailbox Rollcage. Pretty sweet design. I especially like the front valance on it.Gives me some ideas. My buddy's neighborhood has had their mailboxes trashed on a regular basis for a while now. Thinking of doing something similar to what you have...or maybe disguising a metal tube interior with a fake wood/plastic looking outside to really screw with the mailbox killersHey, if it works, the rest of the homes will probably want one too :PHTP Invertig 221-DV -- get's dragged everywhere.Syncro 200 -- "The Boat Anchor" at the lab.Lincoln 125 MIG

Reply:will take photos of how it bolts togeather wendsday.I lve in the middle of farm country .It would take to long to hitch up a chain plus it is cemented 3 ft in the ground in a 12 in hole 4 ft deep 5 80 pound bags of cement holding it in place. If thay want a chane to get shoot at thats there choice. They are dumb but not stupid.Gregg
Reply:Very nice I have not had this problem, fortunately. But I do like the concept of the "sleeper" armored/reinforced mailbox. The one that looks normal, until it gets hit. The only thing that would worry me about the "sleeper" is that if someone destroys their arm while driving by with a bat, you might find yourself in trouble somehow. We had concerns with kids cutting through our property, and one of the reasons was that if someone hurt themselves, while cutting through/hopping a fence, they could come after *us*, even though *they* were trespassing. Sad but true.
