Hi,I have a 75 co2/25 argon tank with a single regulator, (male fitting)I would like to get a dual regulator which would show bottle pressure and outflow pressure.  I am able to get an acetylene dual regulator (male fitting) at a good price,  - but would this work? Pressure is pressure after all. I guess the only problem would be in the fitting of the regulator to the tank, even though I doubt it would be different and not allow me to fit the acetylene reg to the CO2/Argon tank. What about nitrogen regulators or others with male fitting(s)?Thanks so much!MattLast edited by Mr matt; 08-15-2007 at 10:24 PM.
Reply:Get the right guage for the right gas!!!!No excptions!!!...zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.

Reply:USE THE CORRECT REGULATORS PLEASE!!Acetylene isn't the correct thread anyway, won't work.I would bet your life is worth more than the cost of a new regulator. Talking safety, I knocked over a bottle of argon the other day changing it out (it was nearly empty, but still).  I think I lost 5 years of my life watching that bottle fall over.  Always safety chain you bottles down. Thanks,JasonMillermatic 210 w/ SpoolgunMiller 375 ExtremeMiller Trailblazer 250GMiller AEAD 200-LEVictor Journeyman O/A

Reply:after you cut through the BS, the answer is no, because:a) the CGA outlet is wrongb) the CGA inlet is wrongc) the high side gauge only goes up to 400psi (C25, argon, etc. is pressurized to 2000psi, the gauge will explode)d) the internals are not of sufficient strength to withstand the above mentioned pressure.e) you don't have an orfice to regulate flowand conversion would be cost prohibitive.

Reply:in addition to all of the above, the output of the c25 needs to be measured as flow, not pressure.miller thunderbolt 250vlincoln square wave tig 175 prolincoln idealarc mig sp250everlast tig 210EXTeverlast power plasma 50chicago electric (hf) 130 tig/90 arcchicago electric 90 amp flux wire3 sets oxy/acet
