Reply:Nos isnt flammable as fast and furious would lead you to believe, It is a great oxidizer though which makes if the complete opposite to what a shielding gas should do(stop metal from oxidizing at elevated temps)

Reply:One more reason to hate that movie. NO2 is the gas nitrous oxide. Where the movie got it confuse is that N.O.S. as in Nitrous oxide systems was one of the first of the vendors of nitrous kits. As many have already stated nitrous would be a horrible shielding gas. It's also correct that NOS does mean not otherwise specified in the shipping industry.Tough as nails and damn near as smart
