Horse Shoe Wine Rack--Simple Weekend Project

OK absolutely nothing fancy here, a few horse shoes assembbled into a wine bottle rack. I take neither the credit for the idea nor the layout.  I have about 25 bucks in each a less than a morning to build and paint.  These are gifts for a few friends.  Folks enjoy getting these and costs less than taking someone out to dinner.  Cheers!

Reply:You can buy horseshoes brand new usually at feed stores. Reply:Tractor Supply stocks shoes. I've also ordered then online from a couple of suppliers in the past trying to find different sizes. I'd have to hunt thru the links I've saved to see who I ordered some online from the last time around. Reply:Thanks gents for the compliments, please do use the idea freely, I can't remember where I first saw it, otherwise I would give credit.  I got these shoes which happen to be called Toe Heel No. 2 from my local Home and Ranch Store, I have also purchased at Big R.  These were $4.49 for a pair.  They are on the larger end of the scale to allow for the larger diameter bottles.  The feet use Toe Heel No 000 and I essentially cut them in half.  Used ones would be even cooler and especially if the price were right.I think you could probably build a Space Shuttle out of horse shoes they seem to be used to build all sorts of things.  Here is a book I bought a few years back on 101 things to make with horse shoes, it might give you a few more ideas:http://www.piehtoolco.com/contents/en-us/d1110.html
