I want to create a small 3 ft patch cord to connect a 220v welder with a 6-50p to my Generac generator which has a L14-30R receptacle.I can easily find the L14-30P plug but I'm having trouble locating the 6-50R receptacle in the style I want. I want to keep it "extension cord style" for lack of a better phrase. I want it to be in-line with the cord similar to the plug. Unfortunately all I've been able to find are the receptacles that need to be mounted in a bulky box.Does anyone have a source for this? Thanks.

Reply:I built a 6' patch cable a few years back. Local electrical shop had them on hand.
Reply:A departyed forum member gave me one of those several years ago, and I bought another at Northern Tool. IIRC, they were cheaper than Amazon's price, but it's been more than ten years.
Reply:Tractor Supply sells them for about 20 bucks________________________________Everlast PA140STEverlast PowerPlasma 50And no you can't Borrow them |
