Dump trailer

I have a army trailer. They pulled it behind a 6x6 truck. It had 900x20 tires.It is basecly a big heavyduty pickup bed trailer 6x9 it has fenderwells inside. I put a smaller axle with 16inch tires and lowered it about 2feet. I have always wanted to put a hoist under it so it would dump but it has no runers and i hate to put runers under it and make it setup higher. I need some Ideals on what to do. I have thought about puting runers on inside, It has crossmembers every 9 inches. Or I have a good 8x9 flat bed that I could build a dump trailer with. I haul a lot of brush dirt rock in my army trailer and i would like to unload it easyer.

Reply:Does it look like these? These are M105's, the bud wheels use 6 lugs as opposed to the smaller M101's which have 5 lug wheels. Reply:Its a M105 it now has 8 hole wheels. I have lowered it as much as i can with the factory springs. I wish it was lower.

Reply:Are the springs still on top of the axle? Could you put the springs under the axle & still have enough clearance btwn the wheel & fender? You have a good idea though, making it into a dump trailer!
Reply:The fender are know problem but thier is only 4inches between spring and frame and I think axle is 3inch pipe so you would have 1inch of spring travel.So i lowered spring hangers and put axle on top of springs. It lower it a little. I hate to get new springs but that would lower it. It seats so high that a jack is a problem. I put one on it a regular trailer jack I know it was not a good deal it got bumped one day and it riped frame. I use my pickups crane to lift it.
