Made this cooler cart this week.Uses a procon 15 gph pump.  The reservoir is in the bottom of the cart. Not perfect but im happy with it as a learning experienceSent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk Attached Images
Reply:How loud is the pump? I want a water cooler but they are all a little too loud for my liking.Torchmate 2x2 CNC with Flashcut CNC controlsHypertherm Powermax45 Esab ET220i Razorweld 195 MigRazorweld 200ac/dc TigTormach 770, Tormach xstechRazorweld, Vipercut/Vipermig, SSC Foot Pedal Dealer
Reply:I know it's running but not loud.. like a box fan on low if not quieter.   Louder than the welder though.  I dont notice it if im busy welding.  I had thought about a sound enclosure but it would keep heat inSent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk
Reply:Looks good, although that red super flex cable looks like it will snap off if it gets caught on something.BTW, I have a 220-110v pigtail adapter if you need one for your DV inverting.   1st on WeldingWeb to have a scrolling sig! Reply:I like a lot of your ideas.  Mitered joints and all! What is it made out of?  A useful welding project, and you get to find out if your welds are watertight.
Reply:It is 3/16 6061 2x4 for the base and 1/8 2x2 for the rest.  Motor sits on 2x4 cut in half.  Welder is on 1" angle and was sized to fit snug so it doesnt need a tiedown.  Bungs were made out of 1" rod on the mini lathe.  Feet made out of 3/4.  Axle is steel, tank rests on axle.  Wheels have bearings.  I used a 14" dry cut saw for the cuts, it made mitres nice and accurate.I pressure tested it and it held 20 pounds for 3 days while away for christmas..after I fixed a few leaks.  My aluminum skills improved dramatically but not an even stack yetNeeded all 220 amps to weld the box section.  Sent from my SPH-L720 using TapatalkLast edited by bikesandcars; 12-28-2013 at 01:36 PM.

Reply:That's an awesome cart!Always wanted to make one that was the cooler itself.  Great idea.  As Oscar said, that red line looks dangerous.  Why not plumb a hard line to the area?Gamble, procon pumps with that motor aren't loud at all.  I have a CM3 and it's reallllly quiet.  I had a CM1 with my Dynasty 200 tigrunner and I couldn't stand the damn thing it was so loud.  A graphite piston pump.  What a POS.TA Arcmaster 300CM3XMT 304S22P12 suitcase feederX-Treme 12VSOptima pulserTA161SMaxstar 150STLHypertherm PM45OP setupStihl 020AVP, 039, 066 Magnum
Reply:I've seen a few alum tig carts and often wondered if the builder had thought about integrating the cooler in the cart frame itself. If designed right the frame could act as both reservoir and the radiator since alum is such a good heat sink..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Reply:How much is the pump? And how much do you have into it? I may want to try something like this.Torchmate 2x2 CNC with Flashcut CNC controlsHypertherm Powermax45 Esab ET220i Razorweld 195 MigRazorweld 200ac/dc TigTormach 770, Tormach xstechRazorweld, Vipercut/Vipermig, SSC Foot Pedal Dealer
