Welding Guru's Machine/ CNC TIG vs MIG

when it comes down to the welds have an exhaust line produced by a supplier. he explained that his machine controlled MIG welds are superior due to the appropriate mix of gasses and some other factors so that the weld goes through completely and is very durable and solid. he explained he can offer a lifetime warranty on the line.But i have a feeling this might be a tough sell to the public? is there validity in this? if so or nay please explain! TIA

Reply:I love lifetime warranties.  When the part breaks its lifetime is over right?  So the part performed good for its lifetime and now its life is over, end of warranty......Seriously though need some more information.  What is the exhaust material and how thick?  If your parts have variations and are not fixtured properly then a machine weld can be worse than a manual weld.
