Is this a flashback arrestor? Never seen one this big before. There is only one of these on the regulator on the acetylene. Don't know if the only reason it wasn't on the oxygen regulator was because it was missing but there are flashback arrestors on the torch kinda has me confused.
Reply:i have a set someplace at work. made/sold by eutectic. one of them kept shutting down gas flow for no reason so i took them off. they had a short pin attached so they could be re-set.i.u.o.e. # 15queens, ny and sunny fla
Reply:I can't find anything online about them, must not be made anymore. So I must be missing one for the oxygen regulator than. So I take it that they are flashback arrestors than?
Reply:yeah, 30 years ago that's what we had.face all times with a positive mental attitude, then and only then will you have done your best.

Reply:I saw this arrangement before in a British instructional film. The big unit sat on the acetylene as you have shown and a smaller safety check valve was on the Oxy tank.
