here is a baby crib i built for our new arrival coming in Nov.and yes its built according to the current baby crib regulations.

Reply:I love that old time brass bed look. The white is a nice color, but I keep finding myself thinking some kind of brass or bronze finish would be sweet. If you did another one or the same sort of thing for a full sized bed and then had it electroplated, I'd bet you could sell it for a good bit of cash.I'm somewhat ammazed sometimes that we all survived our childhood long enough to have kids. The way all the "safety" regs are now, you'd think we'd all be dead or crippled by this point..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Reply:i thought it looked sweet just raw steel with a clear coat.  but i did it just like the wife told me.this is our first child,  Her name is going to be Rivers June,  the bed is sturdy enough i can climb over the rail and lay down in it, and climb back out.weighs about 130lbs.

Reply:Beautiful bed! You still have some time left, so a matching changing table should be next. Reply:i got some of the castings from king metals and this site: http://www.dexpan.com/ornamental-iro...ce-supply.aspxi had to cut about a 3/8 section out for the curve to fit into, i just clamped it in a vice and did it with a cut off wheel.my recipt at the steel yard was $195,  but i bought about 10 extra sticks of 3/9 hot roll rounds, and few sticks of angle. i just used the demensions printed on a baby bed similar to the one i made online,  and verified the demnsions on a friends babys bed.  i simply googled "baby crib regulations"  and found plenty of data.   most of the help was from looking at other cribs.  as far as the size,  its mostly just built around the size of the mattess.just drilled several sets of holes to change the mattress height in the corner post.

Reply:Well the Little girl is 7 months old now. she has been sleeping all night since she was 2 months old,  Her Name is River June.they grow like a weed and time is going to fast,  i'm doing my best to make the best time i can.
