Made a nice find to start my MIG cart.

I was in Home Depot and found this tool chest.  Clearanced out at $159, original price $269.    I asked them to check stock and the display was the last one left.  It was missing the keys and had some  light scratches on top. I asked for the manager and pointed out the scratches, no keys, and he took 25% off.  Final price $119.. Reply:I found a similar tool cabinet in the trash, instead of the bottom 2 drawers, there is a flap door that opens a big space that stores my bench grinder, angle grinder and welding helmet, the upper 3 drawers hold a chitload of clamps, consumable and other supplies. You'll get way more utility out of that cabinet than a cart and wonder how you ever did without this. Reply:I did a little bit of work on the preliminary design.Rear tires are 10"x3" no flat  with 4" front casters.   Bottom perimeter and tree tubing is 1.5 X 1.5.  Around the chest is 1".    Most of the rest is 1X1.5 in the crossbraces.I haven't drawn in the hooks and hangers that will go on.  The tank clamp system is a bit much for my lousy drawing skills, so it is not what will be the final.The design allows for two 120 c uft 7 inch cylinders.Btw,  I was too lazy to draw my 180 Dual,  so I used a welder from the web.   All that was available was the Hobart. Reply:That's gonna work out well. If I did that I would need to add a engine to move it. Drawers would be too full to push. Just limit what you fill them with .I  just get carried away. Looking forwardto your project.

Drb007 also made a very nice one using the tool box design. http://weldingweb.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=116951. The one issue i found using the tool box is that there is a lip around the bottom of the box. It is about 1/2" tall. Unless you remove the lip you need to fill it so it will mount to the frame. I used a piece of 3/4" plywood to fill the space.Making as much progress as a one legged duck in the middle of a pond, just going in circles.
