Had to modify the press to cut metal so came up with this solution.....two pieces of pipe, two pulleys, two bearings, two 5/8" shaft collar locks, 1" square bar and a 5/8" shaft and a nut and bolt to clamp it down....sorry for the bad picks.... made it a while back,.... just giving back as I get so many great ideas from this site. Reply:Very nice. Those stamped bearings are garbage though. You can get real, ground, sealed flange bearings on Ebay for dirt cheap, (like 2 of those shipped for under $8). http://www.ebay.com/itm/LOT-OF-2-FLA...#ht_795wt_1393Last edited by MikeGyver; 07-01-2012 at 02:47 AM.Welding/Fab Pics: www.UtahWeld.com
Reply:ooh yeah, those bearings had a lot of slop in them from the start...but I slapped it together with stuff laying around in the garage....all I had to buy where the belts.....thx for the heads up.....I'm gonna go with those sealed bearings.
