sorry this is a stupid question that would be very easily answered by a visit to a welding supply store but i work during the week long hours and welding supply stores are never open on the weekends.  i need some kind of adaptor high frequency start box has a female B size fitting on it to connect hose from argon bottle.  argon regulator has a 1/4 npt female opening.  i have a rubber hose that is 1/4 male npt on both ends and i have a hose which is b size male connection on both endsi could use either one but need an adaptor that is either female b fitting to male 1/4 npt adaptor  or female 1/4 npt  to b size male
Reply:In your pic it looks like the high freq box has an adapter that is 1/8 pipe to the b fitting. Take that out and go to a hardware store and get an adapter that is 1/8 male pipe by 1/4 female pipe. Might need to put a couple of fittings together depending on what they have available.Mike
Reply:Get a 1-4 inch barb fitting, available at an auto parts store ,cut the end off the argon fitting hose and put it there. You can get the thread on adapter but you have an extra hose already .Miller xmt304,  Miller S22 p12, Miier Maxstar SD, Miller 252 w 30A, Miller super32p12, Lincoln Ranger 9, Thermal Arc 181I with spoolgun, Hypertherm 10000 ,Smith torches. Esab 161lts miniarc.
Reply:LWS should have a 1/4 male to inert B female to put on that reg, then use your inert B x inert B hoseExperience is something you get right after you need it
Reply:The outlet of the regulator is a metered orifice. You need a common inert gas hose with CGA 032 on each end and the metered orifice fitting with a hole matching the gauge.Last edited by vwguy3; 02-09-2014 at 07:29 PM.
Reply:Will this work?http://www.brwtechnologies.com/mobil...ductCode=A-414
Reply:You need a Western AW-15A ,solder the hole up and redrill with a number 67 drill(.032 to match you gauge).http://www.globalindustrial.com/p/me...FZBj7AodWVAAXwor you may call a regulator repair center and see if they have the fitting(Smith does not sell "pieces parts")Last edited by vwguy3; 02-10-2014 at 12:26 PM.
