Pick up my new Miller 211 this past Saturday and have a electrician friend comming today to wire up the 240 in my garage. Can't wait to start welding with this machine. I have used other 211's in the past and really liked them so when it was time to upgrade I went with it. I have not tried it on 120 yet because the project I am doing will need the power of 230. Now if the weather would warm up here in WI that would help a lot!
Reply:Congrats! You will enjoy that welder.Post some project pictures when you get started.Burt _____________________Miller Syncrowave 250Millermatic 211Miller 375 Plasma Cutter Hobart Handler 12010FtDrillBit.com
Reply:''Now if the weather would warm up here in WI that would help a lot '' ! I agree, I'm not too far south of you at the WI/Il line and it sucks ! Dam near -3 this AM and cold all week with some or a lot of that white stuff coming ! Yep, the 211 is a super machine. I have a 3 point back blade to repair , got it ready to weld but dam cold. I might have to get some kerosene for the torpedo heater to have some heat to get it welded.
Reply:I hear you BD1. I have a propane contractor heater for my garage but when its this cold it does not do much. At least my friend got a temporary 240 line to my garage. Will put a permanent line in when we can dig the ground up to bury the line. Hope this cold snap ends soon. I have some wire to burn. |
