Does anyone here know if you could use a Miller CoolBand II with a Lincoln 3350 helmet, or any other shell/helmet than a Miller?
Reply:I have one but have never tried it on anything other than my Miller helmet. I think that it may. I have a Fibre-metal helmet I can try it on tomorrow if that helps. Are you thinking about buying one?
Reply:I am thinking of getting one, I don't have a fume extractor in my shop.

Reply:It puts out at best, only a "light breeze" for when its hot. It is bulky and a little heavy at times. I only used it during the worst of the summer last year and took it off the helmet as soon as it cooled down. Like Welding Swede said, its not an air filtration device. I don't have a fume extractor in the shop either, unless a couple open windows counts. I've been real happy with the Miller 'Half-Mask' respirator though for keeping the worst of it out of your lungs. 3-M makes some very nice disposable ones specifically for welding too.
Reply:Ok, so not what I need thanks.
