The consensus is that 110v welders are not useful, and the industry has responded. All manufacturers have decided to stop making 110v welders as they are not worth using.  From now on, only 240v machines and above will be available.
Reply:Tosser.  Has someone upset you and your back in another name?  Did you want to make a trailer?

Reply:The reason they are not making 110V welders is, they are going to quit making 110V electricity. Moving to the 220V stuff. That way everyone has to buy all new appliances  and such. ________________________________Everlast PA140STEverlast PowerPlasma 50And no you can't Borrow them

Reply:yep, Miller is introducing their replacement to the 110v welder this summer. the "WALLET" welder. it fits in your back pocket and is powered by a 9v lithium battery. it's ac-dc rated for 1/2" and is spool gun ready. it also comes with an extended run adapter to run it off a 4-D cell rechargeable pack. also has the optional tig pack with a zippo size cooler that runs off a lithium ion cell for extended amps. other options include Bic torch for preheat, carry neckless, pocket fob, purse case, wireless remote, cell phone charger, and 300 amp stinger for stick. various color schemes including realtree and desert camo. since it isn't going to be made in china QC should be good. the prototype says on the name plate PROUDLY MADE IN SOMALIA BY DEDICATED PIRATES. they are not quoting prices yet but hell if it's cheap enough it might be worth getting one for each back pocket.225NT bobcatAEAD200LEScott 125mm175, mm252 w 30A, PT225mm211, TA 181iHyper Therm 380, cut master 529100X & XX, Digital Elite6 Victor setssmith little torch, meco midget kalamazoo band sawsteel max saw evoulution circular saw

Reply:If thats true, then why are most of the machines at the store 120v rated?  The only one for 220 is a licoln tombstone.   Everything else is 'special order'.   110v machines are here to stay like taxes!  Tehy are cheap enough the average homoner will buy one as they do not have to rewire the outlet.   I do not beleive you.   Next thing you know, you will be saying they will be going to a  3 phase system off of the only wire on the pole in the back and Ron Paul will win the presidency!  Now, that would be amazing!

Reply:President Paul will turn Socialist once elected and mandate Phederally Phunded Phase Converters on every power pole! This will be paid for by an increase in the national debt ceiling in turn to be paid for by increased trade with Somalia. We can sell them mortgage-backed securities based on Cleveland real estate, so when they move in the demographics don't change.

Reply:Earthquakes are one thing.  But earthquakes only tip over bottles.  You can do that yourself easy enough.  There was a quake just before i got to engineering school in Santa Barbara that knocked over an unsecured Nitrogen cylinder.  It launched into space and embedded it into a concrete wall 300-400' away.  It may have been due to a quake, but it was the same basic cause - unsecured bottle...  You make the call.  It's not like the act of tipping over a gas cylinder with a reg on it is unknown.  A strap or cart is pretty cheap...  Oh yeah - the secured bottles didn't go anywhere or blow up in the quake.  The codes are written in blood, in case you didn't know that...-DaveXMT304 with: 22A Feeder, or HF251 Hi Freq DC TIG air cooledThe original post is spam and total garbage.
