Another Weird Side Job, Today was a wheelchair! Sideworks gettin tough out there!

I try and drum up any sort of sidework I can squeeze in, but lateley it's bee tough out there, Todays job was a wheel chair support. I don't care, i'll take em all, LOL. The break was in sweated brass, so I just cleaned it up as good as I could, and tiged some silicon bronze around it. Reply:Nice job Mike! I have not done any brass welding yet with my tig. What is the best filler to use if you do not know the base bronze material?? I have a meat saw I need to weld for a local locker been dragging my feet abit? I have some silicon bronze idk what to use?
Reply:Power, I have had pretty good luck with Silicone Bronze on brass I wasnt totally sure of. Some one gave me a spool of .045 silicone broze mig wire awhile back that had maybe 2lbs left on it. It seems to work very well for those misc repairs that I sometimes get. Although with filler that small you do have to feed like crazy!!
