2 questions:Does this unit have fan on demand, or is the fan just extremely quiet? I hear an electronic buzzing sound when the unit is powered off that lasts about 30 seconds. I'm imagining that it has a very quiet component fan.If using the Pulse setting on AC TIG strictly as a timer for practicing filler addition, what settings would one use? Thanks again.TA Arcmaster 300CM3XMT 304S22P12 suitcase feederX-Treme 12VSOptima pulserTA161SMaxstar 150STLHypertherm PM45OP setupStihl 020AVP, 039, 066 Magnum
Reply:The dyn 200 has fan on demand ,it will kick on with in 3 min. or so of continuous welding . Its not that quite when its on . The buzzing noise is normal As far setting up the pulser for aluminum .I never use the pulser in AC. Just hit and go,Or just pulse with your foot . Good luck man you got a nice machine and you should love it .

Reply:Yeah, the fan is annoyingly loud (not nearly "compressor" loud, but enough to annoy me anyway). It's based on internal temperature, not time.If you keep the current low and don't weld too much continuously, you may never hear it. I don't hear it too much.Turn the juice up, and mid-weld, you go "hey, what the heck is that?"The noise (I would call it more of a weird hum and not quite a buzzing) is perfectly normal. It's even mentioned in the manual. Nothing to be concerned with.
