I was looking for some info or point in the right direction about this field of work. I just moved down to New orleans area it seems this is the predominant type of work here - Pipefitting, pipewelding, and mostly looking for copper nickle experience. Not much in the way of combo welding/fabrication type work like there was in Houston where i just came from. I'd like to get some hood time with this stuff. What type of material and rods are they using for a typical 6g copper nickle test? Any information about the shipyard industry in general, copper nickle welding, or even welding in the new orleans area i've just had to move to would be appriciated. I've got a 'lil stick box/tig rig i can practice with at the house. Thank ya |
