Well finally got it torn down and found the culprit, almost missed it thinking it was the rear seal, was just going to pull the seal and replace it but decided to pull the cover for a look see.Cover gasket had slipped out of position, amazing it held for as long as it did. Thanks "duaneb55" for all the help. Reply:Amazing what vibration can do. Were the two bolts either side of the failure lose?I trust the rotor came off without a problem?MM200 w/Spoolmatic 1Syncrowave 180SDBobcat 225G Plus - LP/NGMUTT Suitcase WirefeederWC-1S/Spoolmatic 1HF-251D-1PakMaster 100XL '68 Red Face Code #6633 projectStar Jet 21-110Save Second Base!
Reply:No the bolts were tight, not sure of what caused the problem unless it slipped during assemble and just held by a hair until now. It was about 15 the morning I started out and noticed it that next evening. The rotor came off, I wouldn't say without a problem After fighting it for about two hours with no joy I made a bar to bolt to the flywheel with a cross piece welded to it that would hit against the bottom of the crankcase, then with a pipe wrench with a 4' cheater bar got it broke lose. Tomorrow is reassembly day if the weather cooperates.Trailblazer 302Hobart Stickmate AC/DCLincoln SP 135 TSmith torchSpoolmatic 30A |
