Broken Hilti Bit

So I had a broken bit and now I have a third hand.Just figuring out how to post a pic.....and yea I had to cover up the original bead with two beads because I didn't realize how much heat I really needed to puddle up that tool steel. Reply:So it's a third hand do-hickey for holdingstuff down to get a tack on it. Thanks but I've only shown the decent welds. The one underneath just laid rightup on top of the tool steel without a good bond. And the ones on the other side.... um, yea, well, you'll see.Ended up being dcen about 190 amps with 3/321.5% lanthanated, 3/32" filler, #7 cup, and trying not to burn through the 1/8" flat stock that I puton because it makes it makes it a little easier to put the work clamp on.Just using up scrap and trying things out. Reply:Yeah I wouldn't of seen that (or thought of it till you mentioned it) but you're right.The ugly side was first and then the good side after.Good eye.That freaking thing was hot for almostan hour afterward too.How do you know the blacksmith's dog?
