I am going to be headed out on the pipeline to weld, and I am taking this with my as my primary welder in my Isuzu pickup. Is this "firepower" wire good enough for me or should I use Chicago Electric wire?http://omaha.craigslist.org/tls/4378123649.htmlI kid... however I've never seen anything like this before, so I figured I'd post it here! Wonder what voltages the thing actually outputs?
Reply:I actually had something like that in the back of my weld shop truck in Iraq. Never did try it out, but it made a pretty darn good doorstop. If you cant fix it with a hammer, it must be an electrical problem."Boy, everyone starts with a full bag of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience before the bag of luck is empty."-Grandad circa 1990ish

Reply:The only reason I don't have one of those is that I know I will never use it. Only place I could imagine using it would be on the trail in my Scout, but in all the years of running it I haven't ever needed to weld anything. Any other time I am in my truck, and have the TB in the bed, and have never used that off road either, just on job sites. |
