Figured out a way to recycle the empty 10 lb wire spools. It works really well for string line. 2 1/4" hole saw cuts a plug that will drive in to spool center. One of 1 1/2" and one of 3/4" wood. 5/16" carriage bolt for the axle and 3/8' carriage for the crank. Reply:That need some refining... it needs a free spinning handle (so you don't booboo your hands when useing it). Good idea though.Miller thunderbolt 250Decastar 135ERecovering tool-o-holic ESAB OAI have been interested or involved in Electrical, Fire Alarm, Auto, Marine, Welding, Electronics ETC to name a just a few. Reply:whats with the winding handle? why not just stick the allthread into a portable drill? and use your free hand to guide the line onto the spool. Tighter winding, cleaner look, and less hand work. Just a thought. There are no problems. There are only solutions.
