Since my LWS no longer carries HB-28 wire (my favorite), I have been looking for a suitable replacement. The spool of L-56 I got was not wound well and I had some wire feed issues. After hearing some good things about HTP products, I ordered an 11lb spool of their ER70S-6. I welded with it today and ended up using about half a spool. I really like it. It has good wet out and runs really smoothly. I really like how it is wound on the spool, which makes it feed very well. This was my first order with them, but so far, I'm impressed.
Reply:You think their wire is good, you ought to try their welder! HTP Mig 2400 is an outstanding welder. I like the wire too, and have never had problems. I last bought a 30# spool, but am about of the opinion I like the 11# better. They'll ship 2 11# spools for the price of 1, and the 11# spool spends less time in the machine. Fresh, clean wire is good! I'm a hobby guy and don't use wire fast enough on a 30# spool. On the other hand, the 30# spool still feeds and welds like it did when I put it on...Tracker401 |
