Went to do some welding and the girlfriend decided she wanted to try. I didn't want her to since when she tried my plasma cutter I didn't get it back for at least an hour. And well that's what happened again. She did a great job for her first time. I will see if I can put up a pic of her best piece.Only thing I am not sure what happened is she was welding steel, DC, and at one point the machine buzzed like it was in AC for a quick second.Torchmate 2x2 CNC with Flashcut CNC controlsHypertherm Powermax45 Esab ET220i Razorweld 195 MigRazorweld 200ac/dc TigTormach 770, Tormach xstechRazorweld, Vipercut/Vipermig, SSC Foot Pedal Dealer

Reply:Cool man, i let Audra tig weld last week, and she fell in love with it. She worked the torch and pedal and i added the filler. Looked pretty good too. I wanted to boost her confidence a little for her first time. Then she went on the computer and picked out a $400 hood and told me she wants one....figures, no good deed goes un punished. Maybe next christmas if she stays with it. Fun tho. I hate being bi-polar it's awsomeMy Heroes Have Always Been Cowboys
Reply:^^ I did the same, I worked the filler a few times. That is a great way to practice.Ok I think I created a monster. I said Sunday when we get home I need a few hours in the to finish things up before we pack up to move. Sure no problem. Well today is here and she had a bad day and said can i go weld in the garage?I asked, why is it therapeutic for you too? And he said she just needs to get her mind off things. So maybe it's a bad thing because she will be taking up all my time or maybe I can try to use this to my advantage to spring for more stuff. I was already trying to get her to be ok with getting a water cooler but she isn't there just yet. Btw she loves the ck flex loc torch. Probably going to fire up the tweco 141i tonight and see how she does at mig welding. My guess is she will just want to tig.Torchmate 2x2 CNC with Flashcut CNC controlsHypertherm Powermax45 Esab ET220i Razorweld 195 MigRazorweld 200ac/dc TigTormach 770, Tormach xstechRazorweld, Vipercut/Vipermig, SSC Foot Pedal Dealer
