can someone give me some pointers with smaw. pics included

can you point at what I did wrong and what would be the best way to correct it. this is 7018 at 90-95 amps (my machine isn't very accurate with readings) and id say the plate is probably 3/8 please excuse the weld closest to the bend as my machine was running out of fuel and I was too stubborn to put more in it.

Reply:I had it at 115 and It seemed to undercut as I laid each pass over the old ones. does the form look okay and such and it just looks cold?
Reply:if your getting undercut slow down a little and let it fill in more... also if the plates smoking hot let it cool a bit between passes
Reply:run around the above mentioned amps.  If your flat try about 115 and up.  Let the puddle develop and be smooth with it.  Your on the right track, just need some hood time.  Make sure your plate is thick enough.  You'll find it.  Keep a tight arc and rock on
Reply:with 7018 should I bury the rod in the puddle or hover it ahead of the puddle?
Reply:You can drag the rod right on the metal. You will feel the slag crumble away as you weld doing that. After you strike the arc and let it run on the metal it is nearly self feeding. You can do something else with your other hand and not watch .
Reply:Too slow for one, and a little cold. Some engine welders run colder than the printed scale.
