Reply:that makes cents...lol, or not. the jr comps look cool too. sh*t, im still looking for something to build and make $. I would rather just build something and then find a buyer, rather than build for the buyer right now. hmmmmmm, garden stakes are not really what i wanna build.....trailers are a dime a dozen. i dunno.

Reply:The fastest way to having $1,000,000 in motorsports is to start with $2,000,000.If you wanna get going at it, make it known at the track, get ideas on what the guys want. Maybe start with some jr dragster stands to service the car between passes. Ways to store fluids, rags, tools, ect. Build kid stuff. Stuff they can do in the pits for entertainment. Seems alot of dads are the real racer the kids are just the drivers, and like other things better.Offering CNC Plasma cutting and welding projects.Follow me on facebook https://www.facebook.com/nobigdeal.fabSupport those that support WW.
Reply:Be sure to get the latest rules and specifications from the governing body where you will be racing. They are very specific. As for building to sell... have you priced liability coverage?

Reply:See if someone offers a pre-bent chassis kit..........Go for it and have fun......Its only money and you only have it till you die..
Reply:In 57I built my first gocart. At that time they were a build it at home with any kind of motor and no rules to follow. It was a ball. we raced at the county fair grounds on a dirt oval. By 59 there were lots of rules and lots of money being spent on special made parts and even special tires and wheels. By 60 you could buy go cart motors or adapters to run Mac 10s. Popularity sometimes ruins a good thing. Mac
Reply:cheapest racing i've seen is the clone motor cart racing, not cheap, but probably the cheapest to get started in.. they use the harbor freight clone motors..tackleexperts.comwww.necessityjigs.comhttps://www.facebook.com/groups/mach...dingequipment/
Reply:Unless your going to bend bodies, build custom bbased on each kid and offer something different than a copy, its a poor business idea.Race cars, even JR dragsters are not something you just throw together as a one size fits all car and expect to impress anyone. The secret to JR dragsters is weight and price. Chances are you can't get either low enough and remain profitable.Syncrowave 350Coolmate 3Millermatic 251Spoolmatic 30A |
